Shipping Policy
1. Introduction
This Shipping Policy applies to all Rescope sellers and outlines your rights and responsibilities when using USPS labels purchased through Rescope.
Sellers are always responsible for packaging and dispatching their sold items to buyers, and for ensuring those items are delivered safely, and as described.
2. Seller Shipping Responsibilities
When your item is sold on Rescope, you create a USPS shipping label by navigating to Sales > Order > Manage Order > Get Shipping Label.
When shipping with Rescope labels, you agree to:
- Provide an accurate "ship-from" address.
- Enter the correct package size and weight so shipping costs can be accurately calculated.
- Dispatch items as soon as possible after they're sold - ideally within 5 business days - and keep in touch with your buyer through the in-app messaging system.
- Comply with all applicable local and federal shipping regulations.
- Ship only to the address provided on the Rescope label.
Failure to comply with these requirements can result in fees being assessed on your account, or the suspension of your account in egregious cases.
By shipping an item using a label purchased through Rescope, you grant us permission to collect and share relevant shipping data from USPS (such as tracking information) with your buyer to complete the order.
3. When Purchasing a Shipping Label on Rescope
When you purchase a USPS shipping label through Rescope, you agree that:
- Each label may only be used for the corresponding Rescope order.
- Shipping labels may not be transferred, resold, or reused.
- You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information (including addresses, package dimensions, and weight) to ensure delivery.
- You are fully responsible for the contents of any parcels you ship using labels purchased via Rescope.
- Rescope is not responsible for issues that occur while items are in transit with USPS (including loss, damage, or delay). Claims for lost or damaged parcels must be submitted directly to USPS.
- You consent to Rescope sharing necessary shipping information with USPS and other logistics partners, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
4. USPS Additional Terms
Shipping labels purchased through Rescope are fulfilled by USPS. By using USPS postage, you agree to comply with USPS rules, terms, and policies.
In particular, you must comply with USPS packaging guidelines and USPS shipping restrictions.
Packages improperly prepared, undeclared, or containing prohibited items (including certain aerosols, perfumes, or batteries) can result in civil or criminal penalties under federal law.
5. Tracking and Delivery
All USPS labels purchased through Rescope include tracking. Buyers can view tracking updates in the app.
Once a shipment is marked as "Delivered" by USPS, the order will automatically be completed after 48 hours unless the buyer reports an issue.
6. Lost, Damaged, or Late Packages
If your package is lost or damaged, Rescope may assist you in filing a claim with USPS, but Rescope itself is not liable for any issues occurring in transit.
7. International Shipping
At this time, Rescope is only available for domestic US customers. International shipping is not yet supported.
8. Sustainability
We encourage sellers to reuse packaging, choose appropriately sized boxes, and reduce waste wherever possible. Every order helps support a more sustainable economy.
